2010 RULES
The following are 305motard rules and regulations participants must comply for the 2010 Championship Series. Rules directed or related to safety are promulgated to make all persons concerned with safety, but the 305motard neither warrants safety if the rules are followed nor compliance with an enforcement of the rules. Moreover, each participant in competition has the responsibility to assess the safety aspects of facilities and conditions, and must assume the risk of competition. Motor vehicle mishaps, in competition or otherwise, can result in injury or death. Motor vehicles should never be used by minors without parental consent or supervision.  Parents, legal guardians or authorized adults must remain present at all times.

CHAPTER 1: CLASSES STRUCTURE
Some classes will be on the track concurrently
A. NO DIRT CLASSES
A1. ShootOut Kids
A2. Kids "A" : Bikes must maintain a mini chassis. Riders who can laps less than 42 seconds at our venue. Maximum age: 13 years old. Every kid gets awards.
A3. Kids "B" : Bikes must maintain a mini chassis. Riders who laps time are more than 42 seconds at our venue. Maximum age: 13 years old. Every kid gets awards.
A4. Minis "A": Bikes must maintain a mini chassis. Riders who can laps less than 41 seconds at our venue.
A5. Minis "B": Bikes must maintain a mini chassis. Riders who can laps less than 45 seconds at our venue.
A6. Minis "C": Bikes must maintain a mini chassis. Riders who laps time are more than 45 seconds at our venue.
A7. Supermoto: Bikes must maintain a supermoto chassis. Riders of all levels.
A8. Supermoto "Rookies": Bikes must maintain a supermoto chassis. This class is a entry level for those who are new to racing and people who want to have some fun. No championship for this class.
B. DIRT CLASSES
B1. Minis: Bikes must maintain a mini chassis.
B2. Supermoto "A" : Bikes must maintain a supermoto chassis. Level A riders (those who can lap less than 40 seconds at our venue).
B3. Supermoto "B" : Bikes must maintain a supermoto chassis. Level B riders (those who can lap less than 44 seconds at our venue).
B4. Supermoto "C" : Bikes must maintain a supermoto chassis. Level C riders (those who laps time are more than 44 seconds at our venue).
B5. Shootout: Cash Paying Class! Must be Pro/Expert status to race in this class. 75% payout.
C. ADDITIONAL CLASSES
In addition to the classes described above, 305motard promoters may organize, advertise, and conduct additional classes to meet the needs of riders present in the event.
Important: The race referee has the right to move riders from their chosen or assigned class if their performance jeopardizes their safety or the safety of the other competitors. Riders will be assigned to a class that is better suited to their skill and speed levels.

CHAPTER 2: POINTS SERIES
Points will be awarded for each race based on rider finish in the main event. Qualification race will determine the grid for the mains. Points will be given for each position as follows: 
            1st 30 points             6th 19 points            11th 13 points                        
            2nd 27 points           7th 17 points            12th 12 points                         
            3rd 25 points            8th 16 points            13th 11 points                    
            4th 23 points            9th 15 points            14th 10 points                        
            5th 21 points            10th 14 points                    
-The points will be kept and totaled in order to determine a class champion at the end of the season.
-The rider must start the event to receive any points. If a rider can’t finish the race for mechanical failure or accident only will be awarded with (9) nine points.
-No points for disqualified or penalized rider

CHAPTER 3: FEES AND TIMING/SCORING
A. MEMBERSHIP FEE
A1. A yearly license will be required to compete in any 305motard event. This license can be obtained by filling out the application found on XTRM.com
A2. The cost for the license will be $40 yearly. With this license you don't have to pay any fees at the gate in any 305motard event.
A3. A single day license can be purchased for $10. This license is good for only one 305motard event. If you are planning to race all the series we suggest you to purchase the annual license.
A4. No reimbursements will be made for license/entry fees for any reason during the calendar year. 305motard has the right to invalidate any license for any justifiable cause.
B. ENTRY FEES
B1. The entry fee for racing is as follows:
First class:               Pre-entry $30                Late entry $60                           
Second class:          Pre-entry $20                Late entry $40
Additional classes:   Pre-entry $10                Late entry $30
B2. Pre-entry for each race will open several weeks prior to the event with the link becoming available on the 305motard.com. The racer must fill-out the entry form and send payment through Paypal, a mailed check or personally to 305motard officials.
B3. Pre-entry will close a few days prior to the event. You don’t have to have a PayPal account. PayPal accept bank cards and debit cards directly.
B4. Entry fees are non-refundable. Should a rider have an unforeseen circumstance, which causes their inability to attend a pre-entered event, their fees may be forwarded as a credit for the next round only. It is the responsibility of the racer to advise officials of the missed event in order to receive the credit. Inclement weather is not an applicable reason for fee credits.
B5. Should a racer suffer an injury or mechanical failure, which results in their inability to compete, the following accommodations on credit may be issued at the discretion of the 305motard officials on a case-by-case.
C. TIMING AND SCORING
C1. Timing and Scoring requires of a transponder in order to define your lap times and position. Transponder rental: $20
If you own an AMB Trans160x (yellow) or Trans260x (red) you will only pay $5 for scoring fee.
-Racers who forget their transponder during the qualy will be positioned at the back of the field.
-Racers who forget their transponder during the main event will not be scored unless it is brought to the attention of the Race Director immediately to determine the finishing position thru verification from fellow racers.
-Negligence which causes destruction of the transponder will require reimbursement for destroyed equipment. (U$400)
D. GATE FEES
D1. A gate fee may be charge at each event. This fee will vary depending on the track. On average it will be $5 per person and free per child under 7 years old.
D2. In order to access the hot-pit a wristband and a signature waiver is required.

CHAPTER 4: TECHNICAL AND SAFETY
A. TECHNICAL
A1. All race motorcycles must pass technical inspection prior to participating in any 305motard event. A Tech sticker will be placed on the front number plate of all bikes passing Tech. No motorcycle will be allowed on the track during a 305motard event without a Tech Sticker.
A2. The following items will be checked during tech inspection. These items are safety related and pertain to all bikes in all classes.
1. Throttle must return freely
2. Kill switch
3. Levers must have ball ends unless protected by hand guards
4. Working front brakes
5. No turn signals or mirrors
6. Headlights and taillights taped or removed
7. Oil drain plug safety wired
8. Master link clip safety wired
9. No anti-freeze. Water Wetter, Engine Ice or Liquid Performance only. 13
10 . Coolant and Fuel Catch Cans – This can be a combined catch tank for both the engine coolant and fuel or two separate systems.
11. Please, no leaking fluids.
B. SAFETY
B1. Full leathers with armor are highly recommended for all classes but motocross type riding apparel with a full chest/back protector will also be allowed
B2. SNELL and DOT approved full-face or motocross helmet in good condition are required.
B3. Helmet face shields, eyeglasses or goggles. No sunglasses!
B4. Full fingered leather gloves in good condition, with no holes.
B5. Road racing boots, motocross boots or leather boots that cover the rider's ankles are required. 

CHAPTER 5: RACE DIRECTOR AND STEWARDS
A1. RACE DIRECTOR
The Race Director shall be in charge of overseeing all aspects of the event. This can include but not limited to preliminary track preparation and event schedule. The Race Director makes the final verdict on all matters concerning the event including but not limited to registration, rider classification, current license status, protests or penalties, technical inspections, appeals, and disqualifications.
A2. STEWARDS
Stewards are responsible for maintaining a safe racetrack, aligning the grid for each race, overseeing the starting procedure, ensure that all motorcycles meet safety requirements, make rulings on all technical protest, registration and distribution of transponders, timing all qualifying sessions, score all of the main events and flagging.

CHAPTER 6: RACE FORMAT AND FLAGS
A. RACE FORMAT
A1. The race begins at the movement of the green flag.
A2. There are no rolling starts allowed. The motorcycle cannot make any significant forward movement until the green flag is moved.
A3. A racer that ‘jumped start’ by moving before the green flag will be issued with a one-lap penalty at the end of the race.
A4. Some classes will be on the track concurrently but will be scored separate in classes.
A5. Shootout may use a different start.
B. FLAGS
B1. Green Flag: The green flag will be used to start the race. It will be waived at the beginning of the second lap to signal a clean start.
B2. Yellow Flag: The yellow flag will be used to warn riders of hazards on the track such as a down rider. There are two types of yellow flags: waving and standing. 
-when a yellow flag is being waved that is a hazard located in that area of the track and no passing is allowed.
-when the yellow flag is displayed to the riders, but not waved a hazard exist somewhere on the track, but not a this portion. Normal race pace and passing are allowed under the standing yellow.
B3. White Flag: The white flag is a courtesy flag that signals 1 lap remains in the race.
B4. Checkered Flag: This flag is waved at the finish line to signal the end of the race.
B5. Red Flag: The red flag is displayed to signal that the races has been stopped due to a  hazard on the track, i.e. down rider, bike that cannot be moved, or hazardous materials such as oil. Riders shall slowly reduce speed and hold up there left hand to signal to other riders. Then shall go to pit lane. In case of restart, the rider who caused the incident will be positioned at the back of the field
B6. Black Flag: The black flag will be waved at a rider that have been penalized. The rider must go to pit road to have the problem repaired or serve the penalty.
